Submit An Article
Excel At Life is committed to providing research-based information to the public to promote mental health and well-being. If you are a mental health professional (or student) and
would like to contribute to this mission, you may submit an article to be published on this website. The benefit to you is the opportunity to include your
professional information to market your services to people interested in improving their mental health. Excel At Life currently reaches about 50,000 people a month.
All submissions may not be accepted as we do intend to maintain a high quality of information provided on this site. We may not always be able to provide feedback as
to why an article was not accepted. Please follow the submission criteria to increase the probability of your article being published.
Thank you for contributing to this site and its mission.
SUBMISSION CRITERIA
1)
Get Approval First.
Prior to submitting an article, use the form below to contact Excel At Life with a brief description of the article and your professional qualifications so a determination can be made whether the article
may be appropriate for the site. If approved, you will receive directions for submitting the article.
2)
Original Content.
The submission should be your own original content (or you own the rights to the content). We will require a non-exclusive copyright agreement which will allow Excel At Life to publish your article but you
retain rights to publish elsewhere at your discretion.
3)
Written for the Public.
Although we want to provide the scientific evidence, the article needs to be written in a way that helps the public understand the concepts. Psychological jargon is
acceptable as long as it is explained. When writing for the public it is good to provide illustrative examples.
Think "Psychology Today" meets "Scientific American" for writing style.
4)
Provide Research Support.
Excel At Life is strongly committed to providing information to the public that has scientific support. Whenever claims are made in an article there should be a citation
provided in APA format. Although references do not need to be comprehensive, a few should be provided to support the information provided in the article.
5)
Well-written Material.
We do not have the resources to edit articles. Therefore, all articles submitted should be proof-read and ready for publishing.
6)
Non-commercial Content.
Although the articles can describe methods or options for treatment they should not be promoting particular products or individuals.
